Pressure (symbol p, SI unit Pascal (Pa), equal to N/m2 or kg/m·s2) is the amount of force over a given area. Pressure is equal to force over area.

$ p = \frac{F}{a} $

In the case of a uniform fluid, pressure is equal to

$ p = \rho g h $

Where ρ is the density of the fluid, g is acceleration due to gravity, and h is the height of the fluid above the point at which pressure is being determined.
