Mass (SI unit kilogram (kg)) is a measure of how resistant an object is to a force applied (how much it will accelerate) and how great its gravitational pull to other objects will be. Informally, it can be thought of as how much "stuff" is in an object. Mass should not be confused with weight, measured in Newtons (N), which is a measure of the strength of a gravitational field on an object.
